I am in love.

I know what you're thinking, I can totally see into those pretty little heads of yours ( I know..I know...I can't wait for my thin mints to arrive either!). You're thinking...Nickie....didn't you make a whole post about how much you dislike MLM companies? Yes, yes I did. Then I found one that was so different and wonderful that I changed my mind. Well, at least when it comes to this one.

I'm sure by now you've noticed the cute little banner on the side of the page, and thought what in the world is Perfectly Posh? Well sit down and pull up a chair buttercup.

What is Perfectly Posh?

Perfectly Posh is a relatively new company with spa and pampering products that are paraben-free, paraffin-free, free of sulfates including SLS, cruelty free and do NOT test on animals. When I heard those words I was basically sold then I also found out that they are fragranced only with the highest quality essential oils and fine phthalate-free fragrances. They even use natural enzymes and vitamin E to preserve the life and look of these awesome pampering products. Sold!

What products are offered?

There are ooodles upon oodles of pampering products from lotions to scrubs, cuticle cream, hair masks and everything in between. What really amazed me is how well they work and how INCREDIBLE they smell. I can't stop sniffing myself and sorry...you wont be able to either! These are a few of my favorites:

1. The Tree Hugger
This is a deep cleaning, D Tox scrub that has sea salts, strawberry seeds, coconut shreds, and a detoxifying blend of soothing essential oils. It scrubs and detoxes while nourishing the new layer with energizing vitamin C, rich jojoba and sunflower oil. Plus it smells like coconuts and strawberries.

2. The Caffeinator
This little baby is a moisturizing shea butter stick infused with tightening and brightening caffeine. You just rub this around your eye area and watch as the caffeine gets to work and tightens and brightens the skin. AKA: 8 hours of sleep fake-it stick.

3. The Stripper
This is a D Toxing mud mask that aggressively absorbs and removes free-radicals from skin. This puppy slows moisture removal with triglycerides and vanilla essential oil. With continued use supports cleaner, brighter skin, fewer black heads and blemishes, and improved elasticity. SIGN ME UP NOW am I right?

4.Sweet Young Thing
It's an anti-aging serum that is loaded with a sophisticated blend of CoQ10, natural cell-generating oils, and powerful peptides. This stuff is creamy and smells to me like a magnolia/jasmine smell. It is literally heaven in a bottle. When I put it on Hubby even noticed my skin looked great.

Ok Nickie, I am loving the products but c'mon MLM.....I've been hurt real bad sister.
I feel you guys read on...

What makes them different?

I was so excited to join this company because they are SO different from all the other big name MLM companies that I've tried before. They are LOW KEY and encourage their consultants to be themselves, wear what makes them happy and comfortable, have fun, don't stress, and pamper themselves just as much as they pamper their customers.

Customers are treated like what they actually are: women who deserved to be pampered not a potential number or a sales slip. Unlike the other guys we are encouraged to share products not pressure women into joining our "army". They also pay commission on everything you buy, there is no "wholesale vs retail". You simply sell the products and they send you a check. They do bonus items, half off deals, hostess perks, and contests all the time to score some extra goodies. You're not pressured to have product on hand and consultants are encouraged to uplift and help out their fellow consultant sisters.

The price to become a consultant is only $99.00 ( plus local tax/shipping) and I signed up in January so my kit came with DOUBLE the amount of products! It was worth it to join up just for the amount of goodies alone! Another great thing about being a consultant is that this is a relatively new company so the market is WIDE OPEN! There are a million opportunities to expand and develop a market in your area! If you want more info about joining you can read about it HERE and message me either here or on my Facebook Page and I will answer any questions. PS - You can still get the double kit promotion all the way until February 6th!

I can literally go on and on, but I'll stop here and continue with the info...

What does this mean for us, your loyal readers?

Well not too awful much. No I will not be harassing or pushing anyone to join or buy something, that's not why we're here and I hope you guys know and love me better than that. But I will post some Perfectly Posh stuff occasionally when I think you guys might be interested or whenever I get really excited about something. Which...let's face it..I'm a tad bit obsessive when it comes to things I fall in love with. So if I do go a little overboard please forgive me. I'm thankful that I found Perfectly Posh, it was an accident that I stumbled onto their Facebook page posts and I will be forever grateful. I think their products are amazing and I honestly really just want to share them with you guys. I do plan on doing a giveaway or two in the next few months with both Perfectly Posh and Spark Naturals so stay tuned for that.

Well that's about all. I just wanted to keep you all updated and caught up in the know.

I can't even contain my excitement on this one. I'm a sprinkle freak so this immediately caught my attention, plus who doesn't like brownies? Hello....no one.

14. Coconut Magic Brownie Bars  by The Healthy Foodie

Once again...who doesn't like brownies? You add the amazingness of brownies plus the great taste of coconut AND the fact that it's a light treat makes this just pure heaven. There is a reason they are called magic people.

I gave you the lemon, now here's your lime. I'm not a HUGE fan of key lime pie, but I do like it. It's nice to have a lighter recipe for when the mood strikes me.

Truths

It wasn't too long ago that the awesome ladies from Rants From Mommyland made an awesome post about " What I say vs What I actually mean" and I couldn't help but add a few more:

What I Say:
" Aw, babe I'm sorry you had a hard day."

What I Mean:
" Really?!? I just changed my nineteenth poopy diaper and haven't gotten to sit down for more than three minutes all day. Oh and I managed to wash clothes, clean the house, and set something out for supper but please....go on about your "hard" job."

What I Say:
" Does my hair look ok?"

What I mean:
" I haven't shampooed my hair in two days....ok three....can you tell? Alright...just how noticeable is it?"

What I Say:
" THAT is going to be an awesome movie, I can't wait to see it."

What I mean:
" I can't wait for half a year to go by so I can finally rent it from RedBox."

What I Say:
"  Hey.....did she make a noise?"

What I mean:
" I totally heard her make a noise, and I'm pretty sure you did too so I'm going to call attention to her next noise because I'm fairly certain you'll go put her paci in if I do."

What I Say:
" Do you think she would benefit from some socialization?"

What I mean:
" I need some socialization with another adult or mama is going to lose her mind."

What I Say:
" We need to get a few things at the grocery store before we can cook tonight."

What I mean:
" I don't feel like cooking, and I know you hate grocery shopping so I think we're going to end up at Olive Garden."

It's like they don't even know me

Apparently a big part of  your blog finally getting out there goes hand in hand with getting hit by spammers about 50 times a day. It's the worst in the world. I'll get a notification on my email that says " four new comments awaiting approval for Life Inside Nickie's Little Bubble" so I get all excited and rush over to Blogger only to find that it's only ads for electronic cigarettes ( I don't smoke) or Vera Wang top Fashion Blog ( I'm too poor) at least do your re-search spammers. If you really knew me you would post things like:

1. Awesome Pictures of Sharks
2. Bloody Hell! Harry Potter behind the scenes movie photos!
3. New Museum exhibit featuring Egyptian stuff and/or Dinosaurs
4. Anything with salted caramel in the title
5. Anything with " vampire " in the title....ok...almost anything.
6. Free Sewing patterns
7. How to grow a garden like a friggen boss

You know...I just realized that this list could be from either a seven year old boy or a 60 year old woman, I'm eclectic like that.

In other news:

I was browsing pinterest and found this little gem. YUP, it's a pregnant belly ring with a car sign on it. I cracked up laughing on this one. Why the baby on board sign? Are people trying to run into your belly/vagina so much to the point where you need a sign to make them use a little caution?? If you're still in the love making stage of your pregnancy wouldn't that creep your husband out???

Hubby and I apparently have NO more boundaries. I was in the bathroom doing the things you do in the bathroom and Hubby walked in once to ask me where his shirt was and then again to see if I thought it looked right on him. Now....first of all.....I don't think there is one man in the history of husbands who knows where every things is in his own house. Seriously, it's like he thinks I move things around every half hour.

The shirt it in the closet where shirts are hung, it doesn't take a genius. Second of all the first time was bad enough, I gave him a look of horror and yelled " CLOSET!" then he opens the door again and just stands there asking how it looks like he's suddenly a JCrew model. I was horrified. So ladies, here's the warning: when you have a baby with a man all mystery is out the window. Kiss it goodbye, along with your baths.

Describe thyself in a recipe. Harder than it sounds

I'm a member of the Circle of Mom's blogging world. It's really neat, they basically asks bloggers ( and other mommies too) random questions and if they like your answers they'll feature you within their posts on their main webpage at Popsugar Moms. It's pretty cool, and a great way for your blog to get exposure. I've only been featured once Here and it almost made me wet my pants with excitement.

They recently sent me an email asking for a recipe that describes my blog, and I was like...hhmmm. I went to their recent submissions from other bloggers who apparently are world class chefs. The ingredients are hard to pronounce, much less the actual name of the dishes.Very polished and perfect looking which makes me wonder if they're cheating or lying about their blogs. I'm onto you people.....

This of course got me thinking. What would my dish be? It couldn't be fancy, I only have two pairs of jeans and they are both from Walmart. It could be a dessert because I adore any type of sweet treat and I'm also kind of chunky...chunky fudge maybe? Then I was thinking that my site is all about the hilarious and sometimes horrible things that happen in real life, mistakes even. So if I truly followed that rule and gave them a recipe that was true to my website it would be one that was pretty messed up looking and not at all how it was suppose to turn out, but still pretty awesome tasting.

I may send them the recipe for " Sweet Corn Muffins" with no corn mix. Who knows? If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

Munchkin's Pierced Ears and Random Google Findings

I did it people...I got my little munchkin's ears pierced! We went to Claires, and there was actually another mom with a 7 month old baby there so I felt really good about not being the only one. Munchkin was cool with the lady messing with her ears, and marking them. When the lady pierced them she honestly did not cry for more than two minutes. I think she was surprised more than anything. I couldn't do it though, Hubby had to hold her. I was standing behind him shaking and gripping onto the chair for fear of passing out. It went so smoothly that I felt sort of embarrassed over how much of a big deal I made it out to be...oh well. So if you are a momma and worried about getting your little one's ears pierced, don't be. It honestly is not bad, I promise.

Yesterday I also peeked at my google stats to see what people search for that brings them to my site. There were the obvious ones...nickie bubble, life bubble nickie, funny nickie ( thanks for that by the way). Then there were the not so obvious ones:

1. How to be like Edward Cullen
brought three people to my site
At first this one really stumped me, I mean how in the world could someone...much less three someones....find my blog from that? I'm not even remotely like Edward Cullen, I'm from the south, I love sunshine, I interact with people daily, and I don't think if I was a vampire that I would have issues drinking blood from bad people, they totally had it coming. THEN I remembered that THIS POST was titled Just Like Edward Cullen and then it sort of all made sense. Robert Pattinson and I are now practically cast mates in the play of life...feel free to tweet that quote.

 2. Nickie's Bubble Idiot
brought one person to my site
First I was like....rude. Then I googled it just out of curiosity to see if there was some sort of hate site for me or something because, yes...I am that paranoid. What it brought me to was  THIS POST about idiot customer dealings and I was like...awww ok. All is well in the world, though I'm sure there are people who do think I'm an idiot and that's ok, the world needs people with bad taste.

3. What to write on a death wreath
brought one person to my site
I felt really, really horrible about this one. All I could picture were bereaved people trying to find words of sympathy or loss and being led to my crazy post HERE and hearing all about my winter wreath murdering itself. I felt really bad, but Hubby did make me feel a little better pointing out that maybe I made them just a tiny bit happy and possibly brought a smile to their face. I really hope so, if not again...I apologize.

Blogger Tag Game

Recently I was tagged in a blogger game by The Zookeepers Wife (pretty cool story I def. recommend checking her out) where you basically take these questions, answer them, and pass them on to other bloggers. It's a great way to find new blogs and also get to know eachother. Well...here we go....

1.  Where were you born?
Houma, Louisiana. It was a rainy afternoon and the sweet smell of roses hung in the air. The room was a calming lavender, but the air was filled with electricity....ha just kidding. Although those things could have been true...I have no idea I was too focused on being born and all.
2.  Were you named after someone?
Nickie is actually my nickname that everyone really close calls me.There's much debate over my actual name ( Dominique). Some say a french family member, some a french ex, some say it was just a pretty name they picked out...who knows.
3.  If you have children, how many do you have?
I have one beautiful little baby girl. She will be six months old tomorrow and she has my whole heart for my whole life and then forever after that. We plan on having a second, but not anytime in the near future.
4.  How many pets do you have?
We currently have only two dogs. One is a black mouth curr named Junior and one is a lab mix named Corndog. This is rare for us, we usually are caring for a multitude of animals. Since we have been together we have cared/raised/loved: baby opossums( note that is plural), raccoon, squirrels ( plural again), birds, wild piglets ( two twins and mean as snakes), fish, rabbits, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, ginnys, and a goat for a very short time( unfortunately). Growing up I also raised ferrets, hamsters, and a kangaroo mouse for a short time. Hubby raised a flying squirrel. Needless to say we like animals.
5.  What was your worst injury?
I would have to say that giving birth would be the hardest thing that I have ever had to recover from. I have never broken anything as a child, the only damage I've done is a sprained ankle. Recovering from a C-Section was very hard, very painful, and something that I was not prepared for.
6.  Do you have a special talent?
Listen you've got to buy me dinner before I show you that...ha just kidding. I can nurture the HECK out of some abandoned animals. As I mentioned before we have nursed and raised quite a few abandoned or hurt animals and I think we're pretty good at it. I also think I'm somewhat talented when it comes to cooking and baking...sometimes.
7.  What's your favorite thing to bake?
Cupcakes. If cupcakes didn't make me fat then I would make and eat them everyday. I literally look for things to celebrate to make batches of cupcakes.

Hydrangea Cupcakes I made last summer

8.  What is your favorite fast food?
I'm more of a Chinese food/TGI Fridays, Applebees, hole-in-the-wall sort of places, but if I had to pick a normal fast food chain I suppose it would be Burger King...or maybe Taco Bell.
9.  Would you bungee jump?
NO. no. no. no. no. I literally freeze up if I'm on a step ladder that is too high. I would die if I bungee jumped. die.
10.  What is the first thing you notice about people?
Actually that would be their stature. I'm very short ( 5"3) and the first thing I notice is how tall or short someone is and if they have larger shoulders or a tiny frame. ( funny piece of info: when I was typing this I accidentally wrote I'm very shart and giggled for about five minutes)
11.  When was the last time you cried?
That would be about five days ago when Hubby left for his hunting trip and I cried like a baby. He picked the wrong time of the month to take this trip so I have been a sobbing mess these past few days. Although on a totally unrelated note I think Ben & Jerry's stock went up a few notches. You are welcome America.
12.  Any current worries?
I call bull on this question because it should have been what are you not worried about. I could write a never ending list about the things that I worry over. I'm a worrier and that's not going to change. I am not worried about my new shirt I bought. There. That's about it
13.  Name three drinks that you drink regularly.

Coffee, Carbonated Water, Sweet Tea
14.  What is your favorite book?
I can't answer this. I really can't. I could give you a long list sorted by genre, but I can't pick a favorite.
15.  Would you like to be a pirate?
No, for the love of God what is appealing about that? Normal pirates do not look like Johnny Depp people. There are no showers on those old ships, the food is horrid, there's no dental or medical I assure you, and plus..I get sea sick. Count me out on this one.

Expectation vs. Reality = No Thanks
Pirate on right credit Here

16.  What are you favorite smells?
Freshly brewed coffee, lavender, my Hubby, my Munchkin...usually, freshly baked anything, newly cut grass, the smell that the heater makes when you use if after a long time of not using it...I know that might be weird, but you knew what you were getting into.
17.  Why do you blog?
It makes me happy.
18.  What song do you want played at your funeral?
I'm sorry, but I can't answer this one either, I just don't like thinking about it right now, at this point in my life with my little one so new and vulnerable. Plus I don't think it will matter, it's not like I'll be there..you can play party rock anthem for all I care.
19.  What is your least favorite thing about yourself?
I am fairly certain that my self-image is in the negative. I'm not happy with where I am right now when it comes to my weight, but you know what...if that is my biggest issue then I think I'm doing pretty well.
20.  What is your favorite hobby?
Reading, Blogging, Cooking, Writing, Sewing
21.  What do you look for in a friend?
Someone who is not weirded out by my vast knowledge of Harry Potter, and who will shamelessly lick the bowl of batter with me after making brownies. Also humor, honesty, and just being a genuine loyal person. Those are hard to find.
22.  Name something you've done that you never thought you'd do?
Sew, literally I would have laughed in your face if you told me I would enjoy sewing. Also driving in a truck following my mom in a moving van from Louisiana to South Carolina all by lonesome ( 14 hour drive in a beat up truck...can you say learning experience). I also do not follow directions well apparently.
 YUP, I made that keychain

23.  What are your favorite things to do?
Refer back to number 20, and also add watching trash tv, being with my family, cooking with my family, finding shark's teeth by the ocean, and reading by the pool.
24.  Any pet peeves?
One uppers...you know the type of people who no matter what you have done they have done it better with a 30lb pack on their back. When someone forgets to clear the microwave so instead of showing the time it reads however long the timer was opened at.
25.  What's the last thing that made you laugh?
My munchkin yelling and babbling, it cracks me up how vocal and animated she already is.
